Grant Admin Access to Your Google Analytics Account

This article explains how to provide admin access to your Google Analytics account for Growth99 team members. Admin access allows our team to help optimize your analytics setup and provide detailed reporting insights.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Administrative access to your Google Analytics account
  • The email address that needs admin access: analytics5@growth99.com
  • Your Google account login credentials

Instructions

Step 1: Access Your Google Analytics Account

  1. Navigate to analytics.google.com
  2. Sign in using your Google account credentials
  3. Wait for the dashboard to load completely

Step 2: Navigate to Admin Settings

  1. Look for the Admin button in the bottom left corner of the screen
  2. Click on Admin to access the administrative settings
  3. You'll see three columns: Account, Property, and View

Step 3: Select Your Account or Property

  1. In the Account, Property, or View columns, select the specific account or website you want to grant access to
  2. Ensure you're working with the correct property before proceeding

Step 4: Access User Management

  1. Click on Account Access Management (this may also appear as "User Management" depending on your Google Analytics version)
  2. This will open the user permissions interface

Step 5: Add a New User

  1. In the Account permissions section, click the + (plus) button
  2. Select Add users from the dropdown menu
  3. This will open the user addition form

Step 6: Configure User Details

  1. Email Address: Enter analytics5@growth99.com in the email field
  2. Notifications: Check the box for Notify new users by email to send an invitation
  3. Permissions: Select Admin level permissions
  4. Additional Options: Check all relevant permission boxes to ensure full access

Step 7: Complete the Process

  1. Review all the information you've entered
  2. Click Add to grant admin access
  3. The user will be added to your account with admin privileges

Verification

After completing these steps:

  • The new admin user will appear in your user management list
  • An email invitation will be sent to analytics5@growth99.com
  • The Growth99 team will receive notification of the granted access

  • Admin access allows full control over your Google Analytics account

  • You can modify or remove user permissions at any time through the same interface
  • Changes typically take effect immediately

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues while granting access:

  • Check that the email address is entered correctly
  • Try refreshing the page if the interface doesn't respond

  • "You don't have permission": You may not have admin rights to this account
  • "Invalid email address": Double-check the email format
  • "User already exists": The user may already have access with different permissions

  • Only grant admin access to trusted parties
