Enabling 2-Way SMS and Email
Have real conversations with patients through both SMS text messages and email. Send marketing campaigns, appointment reminders, and direct messages while also receiving responses.
Setting Up 2-Way SMS
Before businesses can send SMS messages in the United States, mobile carriers require a registration process called 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) registration. Growth99 handles this registration automatically using the information you provide.

- You can start having two-way conversations with patients
Cost Note: Growth99 provides free 10DLC registration and includes your first phone number at no additional cost.
Setting Up 2-Way Email
The good news? Email communication is automatically enabled for your business—no setup required!
Your Dedicated Email Address
Every Growth99 business receives a dedicated email address formatted as:
contact@[yourbusinessname].growth99-mail.com
How Email Communication Works
When you send emails through Growth99:
- Recipients see your business name as the sender
- Any replies are automatically directed to your dedicated Growth99 email address
- Responses appear in your inbox and contact timeline in near real-time
- You can continue conversations directly within the Growth99 platform
This automatic setup means you can start using email communication immediately without any configuration steps.
Important Limitations
Currently, each Growth99 business can have:
- One dedicated phone number
- One dedicated email address
Note: Growth99 plans to expand these capabilities in the future to support multi-location businesses with more sophisticated communication needs.
Next Steps
Once your SMS number is approved and active:
- Test your setup by sending a message to your own phone
- Configure your inbox preferences to manage conversations effectively
- Set up automated campaigns to engage with patients
- Train your team on using the unified inbox for all communications
With both SMS and email enabled, you're ready to build stronger patient relationships through consistent, convenient communication.
