Create and Assign a New Lead or Contact Tag

Lead/Contact tags are a feature that allows business account users to categorize and classify the leads/contacts generated by their business. This article explains how to create a lead/contact tag and assign it to new and existing leads/contacts.

Step - 1

  • The Growth99 application features a "Leads/Contacts" menu in its navigation panel. Select the three dots from the action column of a lead/contact and click View Details.


Step - 2

  • Upon clicking the View Details button, the lead/contact details page will open, where you will find the ‘Tag’ button. 


Step - 3

  • Clicking the Tag button opens the Manage Tags side panel, which includes two sections: Assign Tags and Manage Tags.
  • The existing tags are available under the ‘Assign Tags’ section, where you can assign tags to the lead/contact by selecting a tag and clicking the ‘Assign Tag’ button below.


Step - 4

  • Once a tag is assigned to a lead or contact, it will appear on the Contact Details page.


Step - 5

  • Under the ‘Manage Tags’ section, you can create a new tag by entering the tag name and clicking the ‘Create’ button.
  • You can also edit or delete existing tags by clicking the edit or delete button.

A lead or contact tag helps identify a lead based on factors such as their search behavior, preferred treatment, the time frame of their inquiry, and other relevant criteria. As a business owner, you may want to contact your lead/contact based on the information you gathered from their lead tags and offer them the services they are interested in. 

Assigning tags to leads or contacts is an effective strategy for improving conversion rates and generating more business.
