Add a Third-Party Appointment Booking Link

If you use the Growth99 chatbot to engage with visitors on your website but rely on a third-party appointment booking system instead of the native Growth99 booking feature, this guide is for you.   This article provides step-by-step instructions to integrate your third-party booking link into the Growth99 app, allowing your chatbot to seamlessly direct users to your external scheduling platform.

Step 1: Log In to the Growth99 Panel

Use your login credentials to access the Growth99 panel for your business account.

Step 2: Choose How to Add the Booking Link

There are two ways you can add your third-party booking link to G99:

  1. From the "Locations" page
  2. From the "Chatbot Configuration" page

Option 1: Adding the Booking Link via the “Locations” Page

  1. From your dashboard, go to the "Business Settings" menu under your profile.
  2. Click "Locations"

On the Locations page, locate the clinic location to which you want to add the booking link.

  1. Click the "Edit" button under the "Actions" column.

Once on the Clinic Details page, navigate to the "Links" tab. Paste your third-party appointment booking link into the Appointment URL field, then click Save Changes to update your clinic settings.

2.  Adding the Booking Link via the “Chatbot Configuration” Page

  1. From your dashboard, go to the "Marketing" section in the main menu.
  2. Click on "Chatbot" under the "Cliffhanger" menu.
  3. On the Chatbot page, locate the Config settings for your chatbot.
  4. Look for the field labeled "Default clinic appointment booking URL”.
  5. Paste your third-party booking link into this field.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Once saved, your chatbot will begin directing users to the external booking link you provided whenever they choose to book an appointment.

Step 3: Disable Growth99 Appointment Booking in Chatbot Configuration

After adding your third-party booking link, we should ensure that the Growth99 appointment booking system is inactive in the chatbot.

To do this:

  1. Go to the "Chatbot Configuration" page under the "Marketing > Cliffhanger" menu.
  2. Locate the option labeled " Enable Appointment in Bot ?".
  3. Make sure this option is Disabled.
  4. If it is already enabled, Disable it and then save the changes.

Why this matters: If the Enable Appointment in Bot? option is selected, the chatbot will continue using the default Growth99 appointment system instead of redirecting users to your third-party booking link.
