Add a Third-Party Appointment Booking Link
If you use the Growth99 chatbot to engage with visitors on your website but rely on a third-party appointment booking system instead of the native Growth99 booking feature, this guide is for you. This article provides step-by-step instructions to integrate your third-party booking link into the Growth99 app, allowing your chatbot to seamlessly direct users to your external scheduling platform.
Step 1: Log In to the Growth99 Panel
Use your login credentials to access the Growth99 panel for your business account.
Step 2: Choose How to Add the Booking Link
There are two ways you can add your third-party booking link to G99:
- From the "Locations" page
- From the "Chatbot Configuration" page
Option 1: Adding the Booking Link via the “Locations” Page
- From your dashboard, go to the "Business Settings" menu under your profile.
- Click "Locations"
On the Locations page, locate the clinic location to which you want to add the booking link.
- Click the "Edit" button under the "Actions" column.
Once on the Clinic Details page, navigate to the "Links" tab. Paste your third-party appointment booking link into the Appointment URL field, then click Save Changes to update your clinic settings.
2. Adding the Booking Link via the “Chatbot Configuration” Page
- From your dashboard, go to the "Marketing" section in the main menu.
- Click on "Chatbot" under the "Cliffhanger" menu.
- On the Chatbot page, locate the Config settings for your chatbot.
- Look for the field labeled "Default clinic appointment booking URL”.
- Paste your third-party booking link into this field.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Once saved, your chatbot will begin directing users to the external booking link you provided whenever they choose to book an appointment.
Step 3: Disable Growth99 Appointment Booking in Chatbot Configuration
After adding your third-party booking link, we should ensure that the Growth99 appointment booking system is inactive in the chatbot.
To do this:
- Go to the "Chatbot Configuration" page under the "Marketing > Cliffhanger" menu.
- Locate the option labeled " Enable Appointment in Bot ?".
- Make sure this option is Disabled.
- If it is already enabled, Disable it and then save the changes.
Why this matters: If the Enable Appointment in Bot? option is selected, the chatbot will continue using the default Growth99 appointment system instead of redirecting users to your third-party booking link.
